Rafting in Lousios river

The river Lousios, also known as the source of the Immortals in ancient times, is one of the most important attractions of the Peloponnese. It originates from the mountains of Lagadia, with its main springs located in the villages of Karkalou and Kaloneri. According to mythology, the river was named Lousios because the nymphs Neda, Agno and Theisoa bathed the newborn Zeus in its waters.

The descent of the river starts with inflatable boats from the stone bridge of Atsicholos, located on the Lousios river. Sports enthusiasts will have the opportunity to admire the impressive relief of the area through narrow passages, vertical rocks and dense vegetation. The unique beauty of the natural environment combined with the action of rowing on the riverbed offer an unforgettable experience to those who visit the area. The route ends at the Alfeios river, at the single-arch bridge of Koukos, one of the most impressive bridges of the Peloponnese.
